VULNERABLE ELECTRICITY CONSUMERS

“Vulnerable electricity consumers” for the Grant Schemes of the 'RES and EC Fund' are defined as the following, provided that they are Cypriot citizens or citizens of another Member State or a State of the European Economic Area or those who have the same rights as the above, who reside legally in the areas controlled by the Republic of Cyprus.

It is noted that the following relate exclusively to the vulnerable consumers who can benefit from the Grant Schemes, which are not identified with vulnerable electricity consumers who are beneficiaries of other benefits (e.g. special tariff 08).

 

VULNERABLE ELECTRICITY CONSUMERS:

 

  1. beneficiaries of the guaranteed minimum income provided by the Welfare Benefits Administration Service.

  2. recipients of the Public Assistance from the Social Welfare Services.


  3. recipients of severe motor disability allowance from the Department for Social Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities.


  4. recipients of care allowance for paraplegic persons from the Department for Social Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities.


  5. recipients of care allowance for quadriplegic persons from the Department for Social Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities.


  6. recipients of special allowance for blind persons from the Department for Social Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities.


  7. recipients of the allowance to pensioners with low incomes provided by the Welfare Benefits Administration Service.


  8. families with dependent children up to 18 years old who receive a child benefit from the Welfare Benefits Administration Service and with an annual gross family income up to € 19.500.


  9. five member family or family with 3 or more dependent children that receive child benefit from the Welfare Benefits Administration Service.


  10. recipients of the Mobility Allowance Scheme for Patients under Regular Dialysis Treatment from the Department for Social Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities.


  11. beneficiaries of a special monthly pension from the Patient Relief Fund, the data of which will be provided by the Committee for the Relief of Patients.


  12. patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis whose details will be provided by the Health Insurance Organisation.


  13. patients with multiple sclerosis whose data will be provided by the Health Insurance Organisation.


  14. person after heart transplant surgery whose data will be provided by the Health Insurance Organisation.


  15. person with Raynaud’s syndrome whose data will be provided by the Health Insurance Organisation.


  16. person with active acromegaly whose data will be provided by the Health Insurance Organisation.


  17. patient with Cushing syndrome whose data will be provided by the Health Insurance Organisation.


  18. person with pheochromocytoma whose data will be provided by the Health Insurance Organisation.


  19. person with autoimmune diabetic neuropathy whose data will be provided by the Health Insurance Organisation.


  20. person with permanent tracheostomy whose data will be provided by the Health Insurance Organisation.


  21. patient with primary or metastatic central nervous system tumor (brain or spinal cord) whose data will be provided by the Health Insurance Organisation.
